Comic Hero
Gameplay
2 players battle in a dynamically generating world of comic strip panels. Weapon sound effects use the verbalized onomatepia of the word instead of playing traditional sound effects.

Alberta Game Jam
This game was created in 48 hours during the 2025 Alberta Game Jam.
Diversifiers
SpokenFX: All sound effects are made by recording the word itself (alternatively, mimic all sounds with your voice!)
Top 10 List: Incorporate at least ten (10) different onomateopoeias in your game.
Ka-POW!: Use comic-style panels in your game.
Near, Far, Wherever You Are: Create a team that includes jammers from at least 3 different cities.
How Hard Could It Be?: Try working as a completely different discipline from what you're used to. Make at least one (1) asset, feature, or system that is used in your game as this discipline. (Ex: If you're a programmer, surprise! You do art now. If you're a writer, try programming, etc.)
Shader work is not something I spend a lot of time tinkering with, but the first half of the jam was spent working on creating a shader for the comic panels.
